About

My name is Christy Donnelly and I am a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. I strive to uncover the root cause of health concerns and then provide practical, real-life nutritional guidance to help fuel individuals and families so they can thrive to experience optimal health.  Educating clients on the connections between food and overall health, both physical and mental, is an important part of mapping successful markers on the journey to ideal wellness.

My passion for nutrition was born out of necessity.  I have two very active boys and have a front row seat on how the concepts of holistic wellness and whole food nutrition have positively impacted their health.  Both my kids were born with a genetic heart condition, and we discovered in their early years that they experienced food intolerances.  As a result, I began investigating dietary changes and discovered quickly how much our food is related to a variety of common health concerns.  My boys’ passion to play competitive sports support their drive to stay aware of what is needed to fuel both their bodies and their minds so they can perform at their best in all aspects of life.

The hands-on experience I had at home motivated me to help other families navigate similar uncharted waters.  For over 10 years I have been sharing my experience, recently augmented with my academic training, to guide families on how to make healthier choices in a way that can easily be incorporated into their busy lives.  I work hard to discover, not only what foods and practices may need to be avoided, but also what is going to best fuel one’s body so it can thrive.  My deep understanding of the direct role nutrients play in the body’s overall function helps us to understand the root of your symptoms and allows me to provide customized nutritional support.  This is going to be different for everyone and needs to be tailored to the individual.  As part of the process, I educate clients, including kids, on the link between food and their overall health.  Studies demonstrate that nutrition can provide immense improvement to a variety of health concerns such as anxiety, depression, attention challenges, seasonal allergies, and stomach troubles.

My passion doesn’t stop at nutrition, I have spent over six years educating and advocating for cleaner personal care products such as shampoo, sunscreen, and soap.  The science continues to illustrate that what we put on our body can incrementally over time create adverse effects on our health.

I hold a diploma in Natural Nutrition with a focus on pediatrics, mental health, and the gut-brain connection from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition.  I have also completed a Culinary Certificate allowing me to understand and integrate quality ingredients into tasty and nutritional meals and increase their restorative qualities.
